What we use cookies and tracking for
TribuRuby uses a small number of tools to keep the app running and to understand how it's being used so we can improve it. We don't advertise, we don't sell data, and we don't track you across other websites.
The cookies and tools we use
Session cookie — strictly necessary
A session cookie is set when you sign in with Google. It keeps you logged in while you use the app. Without it, the app doesn't work. No consent required for this one.

PostHog — product analytics
We use PostHog to understand how people use TribuRuby — things like which features are used, where people get stuck, and how the app performs. This helps us improve the product. We use PostHog's EU-hosted instance, meaning your analytics data is stored and processed within the European Union and never leaves it.
PostHog collects:
- Pages visited and actions taken within the app
- Browser type, device type, and approximate country
- A randomly generated anonymous user ID
PostHog does not receive your name or email address. The data is used solely to improve TribuRuby and is not shared with advertisers or used for cross-site tracking.

Vercel Speed Insights — performance monitoring
We use Vercel Speed Insights to monitor how fast the app loads for real users. It collects anonymised performance metrics (like page load time) with no personally identifiable information attached.

What we don't do
- We don't use advertising cookies.
- We don't sell or share cookie data with third parties for their own use.
- We don't track you across other websites or apps.
- We don't use fingerprinting or any other covert tracking method.
Your choices
You can opt out of PostHog analytics by enabling Do Not Track in your browser settings — we honour that signal. You can also email go@triburuby.app to request that your analytics data be deleted.
Vercel Speed Insights collects only anonymous, aggregated performance data and cannot be linked back to you.
The session cookie is strictly necessary and cannot be opted out of without breaking the app.

If we add or change any tracking tools, we'll update this page and the date above. The latest version is always at triburuby.app/cookies.
