Who we are

TribuRuby (triburuby.app) is a small hobby app built and maintained by the TribuRuby Team. Questions or requests about your data can be sent to go@triburuby.app.

What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive and store only:

• Your display name
• Your email address
• Your profile avatar (a publicly accessible image URL from Google)

We also store what you do inside the app: tribe memberships, ritual check-ins, and badges earned. That's it.

We keep brief server logs (IP address, timestamp) for up to 30 days for security purposes, then they're deleted automatically. We don't collect passwords, payment info, location, or anything sensitive.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data.
• We don't advertise to you.
• We don't share your data with third parties for their own use.
• We don't track you across other websites.

Why we need it

Your name, email, and avatar are needed purely to log you in and show your profile to your tribe. Your check-ins and badges are the core of what the app does. We have no other use for any of it.

Third parties

Authentication is handled by Google OAuth 2.0. Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) governs what Google does with your data during sign-in. Our hosting provider processes data on our behalf under a standard data processing agreement.

How long we keep it

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, everything is removed within 30 days. Server logs are deleted automatically after 30 days regardless.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from within the app. If that feature is unavailable or not working for any reason, email go@triburuby.app with the subject "Delete my account"and we'll remove all your data within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time — just email go@triburuby.app. If you're in the EU, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Cookies

We use only a session cookie to keep you logged in. No tracking, no ads, no analytics cookies.

Changes

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and let users know via the app. The latest version is always at triburuby.app/privacy.
